About Me

Welcome to Epiphany. My name is Beth Vice and I’ve been writing professionally since 1984. I live on the beautiful Oregon coast where it’s green and cool (and wet) most of the year. I love to get out and hike with my husband, family, and friends, and dance with my sweetheart. I like strong coffee, rich chocolate, fresh fruit and veggies, flowers, trees, and sunshine. But most of all I love sharing God’s Word and telling others how much He means to me.

Years ago I chose 1 Samuel 23:16 as my life verse, which may seem like a strange choice: “Saul’s son Jonathan went to David at Horesh and helped him find strength in God.” I chose it because I want to be a Jonathan friend—whether I’m writing, speaking, visiting, praying, or serving. I want to help others look to God because He will always be there for them and He always knows what’s best.

Like Jonathan, I know I can’t rescue others from the affects of sin and heartache, no matter how much I love them. But I can point them to Jesus, who saves, heals, and gives hope and purpose to the lost and frightened. So I hug, encourage, teach, and tell others about the comfort I have received from God.

Most of my writing and speaking has to do with relationships—with God, husband or wife, children, friends, and the people around us. My writing flows from the truths declared in the Bible, and learning how to apply them to daily life. Having dealt with my share of heartache and temptation, I also write about divorce, depression, and addictions.

My first book, Scripture Sketches came out in 1987. Since then I’ve written eight other books: Peace Within Your BordersMoments for Homeschool MomsTaking Back OctoberFour Gifts of ChristmasiLove interactive Bible studyLouie the LemonForty Days of Lint, and My First Bible Memory Book.

I hope you will become a follower here at Epiphany and begin reading and sharing my books with others.
